School Meals
There are two lunch options for children, these include:
- To have a school dinner that is cooked on site.
- To bring a packed lunch to eat at school
Meals at School
All meals are cooked on site by a team of staff led by Julie.
Our school meals are provided by Coombs Catering. The menu is updated fairly frequently and the most recent can be found here at the bottom of the page underneath linked documents. More information is available from the School Office.
School meals cost £2.30 per day for Junior children.
All menu choices (including home packed lunches) for all children will need to be made via Arbor.
For Infant children a Universal Paid Meal is available every day.
Packed Lunches
Packed lunches should be wholesome and healthy. Please include:
- Starchy Foods – These include bread, rice, potatoes, pastas and others.
- Protein Food – These include meat, eggs, beans, fish and others.
- Vegetables or salad, and a portion of fruit.
- A Dairy Item – This could be yoghurt or cheese.
Click here for more information about healthy lunches.
Packed lunches should be in a clearly named box. Drinks are not necessary as water is freely available.
Due to the increasing number of children with severe allergies, nuts or products containing nuts must not be brought into school.
Morning Break Snacks
In the Infant School there is a free piece of fruit or vegetable available everyday for the children.
The Junior children are able to bring in a piece of fruit or healthy snack.
Drinks
It is important that children drink plenty of water. This has an impact on their and health and their readiness to learn. Please send your child to school with a named re-sealable bottle suitable for water.
Please note that no other drinks are acceptable in the classroom. A pure fruit juice with a packed lunch is acceptable but no sugar based or fizzy drinks are allowed!
Lunch at Home
Children can go home for lunch if they are collected and returned by an adult. All children leaving the premises during the school day should have written permission from a parent and must sign in and out each time they go home for lunch.
